Social media is beginning to play a bigger role in the recruitment process, both as a method of proactively finding potential talent and as a tool for communicating information to prospective employees. Companies are realizing that both finding talent and promoting their businesses are vital aspects of social media recruiting.

Through sites like LinkedIn, businesses can network with talented individuals, give and receive referrals, and share company details through a corporate profile. Social media outlets such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter can also play a key role in helping companies communicate their image to prospective employees by presenting information about company culture, business objectives, and leadership.
